BY A STAFF REPORTER: An airplane made an emergency landing in central Japan on Saturday morning after receiving an apparent bomb threat. Budget carrier Jetstar received a call at 6am Japan time from a man saying he had put a bomb on the aircraft, citing police sources. The domestic flight from Tokyo's Narita airport to the southwestern city of Fukuoka was diverted to Chubu Airport, a Chubu Airport spokesperson told. "A Jetstar Japan flight travelling from Tokyo (Narita) to Fukuoka diverted to Chubu Airport, landing normally at 7:41am local time today after a potential security incident," a statement read.
