Who was Kapil Muni?

By A Staff Reporter : Kapil Muni's Ashram is situated in Gangasagar.It is said, a holy man named Kardam Muni made a pact with Vishnu that he would suffer the rigors of married life, on the condition that Vishnu would incarnate as his son.

In due course Kapil Muni was born as an incarnation of Vishnu and became a great saint. The ashram of Kapil Muni was built in the Gangesagar.
