BY A STAFF REPORTER: A minor girl was allegedly raped in Azad ward of Kotwali police station area in Betul district of Madhya Pradesh on Monday, police said. Following the incident, angry youths set a four-wheeler on fire, leading to a tense situation in the area. Police rushed to the spot after receiving information about the incident.
Betul Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Neeraj Soni said, "A complaint has been lodged that a minor girl was raped by a middle-aged man on Monday evening. Based on the complaint, an FIR was lodged under section 376 (rape) of the IPC and the POCSO Act. A police team launched a manhunt to nab the accused. "
