Female guards dressed in royal attire at the famous BSF Camel Contingent

BY A STAFF REPORTER: For the first time in 2023, on Republic Day, the famous BSF Camel Contingent will be seen climbing along with the men as well as the women's team. Designed by renowned designer Mr. Raghavendra Rathore, the uniforms for women praharis represent many of India's most valuable craft forms, which are made in different parts of the country and which are assembled at Raghavendra Rathore's Jodhpur studio.

The uniform of the women guards for the BSF Camel Contingent brand incorporates the sartorial and cultural elements of rajasthan's history in its design. While designing the dress for BSF women, one of the uniforms of the national forces is the functionality and scope of reading. Which reflects the honour as well as resonates with the iconic RRJ Jodhpuri Bandhgala which resonates with state honour. The uniform is styled with striking pugh - a turban, which is inspired by the tradition pugh of the Mewar region of Rajasthan. Pugs are an essential component of the cultural dress of the people of Rajasthan.
