Taiwan's president extends mandatory military service



By a Staff Reporter: The Taiwanese government has previously announced compulsory military service across the country to prevent Chinese aggression. Everyone had to do this service for 4 months.

Now Taiwan's President Tsai Ing-wen extended the period of mandatory military service across the country. On Tuesday, she announced the extension of mandatory military service from 4 months to 1 year.
