BY A STAFF REPORTER: The Central government will provide free foodgrains to about 81.35 crore beneficiaries under the National Food Security Act (NFSA) for one year from January 1, 2023, the Cabinet led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has decided. Now BJP MLA Suvendu Adhikari welcomed the center's decision. He tweeted that, 'I heartily welcome Hon'ble PM Shri Narendra modi Ji & Union Cabinet's decision to provide FREE Foodgrains to 81 crore Indians under the National Food Security Act. Central Govt will spend 2 lakh crore ₹ in 2023 as food subsidy. Modi Govt is committed to Food Security for all.'
