Ricky Ponting will not be with Delhi Capitals in ipl auction, know why?

Delhi Capitals' hatchback coach Ricky Ponting will not be included in the auction. However, he will be available on call. The reason for not joining the auction is the holiday season. Because Christmas is near. Apart from this, boxing day Test will be played between Australia and South Africa. Ponting is doing commentary for Australia's Channel 7. So they will be in Melbourne. 

The IPL auction on December 23 will mostly be held without foreign staff. The franchise owners had requested the BCCI to extend the auction date due to non-availability of foreign staff. Many people involved in the foreign staff are in the role of decision-making. Sunrisers Hyderabad is the most affected. He will go into the auction without his new coach Brian Lara. Apart from this, it is difficult for Dale Steyn to join the auction. Overall, 80 per cent of the foreign staff will not be able to participate in the IPL auction due to Christmas.
