Qatar's World Cup has wrapped the football world in a frenzy. Before the start of the tournament, however, many have retired from professional football. Players like Carlos Tevez, Gerard Pique are on the list.
Gerard Pique
Gerard Pique, one of Barcelona's most reliable defenders, announced his retirement this year. Pique has undoubtedly established himself in Europe. Carlos was one of the best defenders in modern football with Puyol. He joined Barcelona in 2008.
Gonzalo Higuain
Gonzalo Higuain's talent may have been unappreciated due to his failure for Argentina. But he has established himself as one of the best strikers in Europe. Higuain joined Real Madrid from River Plate. The 34-year-old has won numerous trophies and played 711 matches for clubs in his career. Higuain joined Inter Miami and confirmed his retirement two years later.
Carlos Tevez
Tevez was unstoppable in his prime time. Prior to joining Juventus, he played for two major clubs in the Premier League, Manchester United and Manchester City, and won premier league titles with both clubs. Tevez has played 746 games in his career.
