BY A STAFF REPORTER: Finland to join the US-led Western military alliance NATO. Before that, the Biden administration approved the sale of weapons worth $ 380 million to the country. The U.S. State Department notified Congress on Thursday that it had approved the sale of Stinger anti-aircraft shoulder-fire missiles and related equipment. The State Department also said that assisting Finland in self-defense is important to the national interest of the United States. The proposed arms sale will strengthen Finland's defense and deterrence capabilities.
