BY A STAFF REPORTER: First phase on voting began at Thursday. Meanwhile, the BJP has started campaigning for the second phase of elections. Union Home Minister Amit Shah held a roadshow at Sanand in Ahmedabad. Amit Shah is an MP from Gandhinagar seat in Gujarat, where the Sanand assembly seat is crucial for the BJP. The Sanand seat came into existence in 2012. Elections have been held here twice so far, once won by the Congress and once by the BJP.
