The forward achieved this feat in 2022 in a match against Saudi Arabia at the Lusail Stadium. The 35-year-old became the fifth player to score in four different World Cups (2006, 2014, 2018, 2022) after Brazil's Pele, Germany's Uwe Seiler and Miroslav Klose and Portugal's Cristiano Ronaldo.​
