Many people were surprised by FIFA's decision. The sale of beer has been banned in the Qatar World Cup stadiums. There was no immidiate response from the beer manufacturing company after the announcement by the football governing body.
Budweiser later responded to a revised post on social media, "Matters beyond our control".
🚨 Beer is out at the World Cup.
After all that (alcoholic) beer will now not be sold inside the perimeter at all eight of Qatar’s World Cup stadiums.
