Massive cabinet rejig: 43 new ministers to be sworn in, several resign

Three union ministers stepped down from the cabinet as Prime Minister Narendra Modi began hectic parleys to rejig his council of ministers. Debasree Choudhury, Santosh Gangwar and Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank resigned from the union council of ministers. According to sources close to the BJP, 43 new ministers will be sworn on Wednesday evening. The BJP has accommodated a few former chief ministers and senior politicians with an eye on elections in UP and other states. Party allies like JD(U), Apna Dal, have also made it to the union cabinet.
