Florida braces as hurricane Elsa to make a landfall

Elsa has now strengthened into a hurricane as it prepares to landfall in Florida. Millions of people are facing life-threatening situations such as heavy rains and storms that could create flooding up and down the coast of Florida. Tropical Storm Elsa is expected to make a landfall on Wednesday morning. Elsa is churning off the western coast of Florida with maximum sustained winds of 120 kmph as it moves north on a collision course with Cedar Key. Residents of Tampa Bay have been asked to stay indoors as the tropical storm is expected to cause widespread destruction.
