BY A STAFF REPORTER: The administration has already ordered the closure of several schools in Tamil Nadu in view of the ongoing heavy rains.

Puducherry did the same. Puducherry Chief Minister N Rangasamy has declared a holiday for all schools and colleges in the state due to heavy rains.
