The Afghan forces are expecting the Taliban to attack Bagram Airfield, the US base in Afghanistan, after troops began to withdraw. General Asadullah Kohistani, who took over as the new base commander, told reporters that the US troops left Bagram at 03:00 local time on Friday.
Bagram also has a prison, and there are reportedly up to 5,000 Taliban prisoners left in the facility.
