BY A STAFF REPORTER: A plane crash took place in Tanzania on Sunday. A plane with 43 people on board crashed into Lake Victoria in Tanzania. Police said the collapse occurred shortly before landing in the northwestern city of Bukoba due to bad weather.
Police also said efforts were on to rescue the people on board. Regional police commander William Mawampagale told reporters at Bukoba airport that "there was an accident involving a precision air plane which ... It collapsed about 100 metres from the airport. "
