Suvendu Adhikari approaches State Election Commission over panchayat polls

BY A STAFF REPORTER: BJP MLA Suvendu Adhikari on Tuesday approached the State Election Commission alleging that the panchayat polls could be rigged. Suvendu's complaint is about a voter draft submitted by the Commission. On October 18, the Commission had released a 'reservation roster' ahead of the three-tier panchayat elections. The BJP MLA from Nandigram tweeted about this. He says, 'As a voter of Panchayat area; Booth No 76, Nanda Nayek Bar, Nandigram, Block - I; I have submitted my written objection to the State Election Commissioner of the WB State Election Commission regarding the forthcoming three tier Panchayat Elections in the State of WB.'
