Disillusioned with Adhir, Avijit left Congress, many other may follow

Why did Pranab Mukherjee's son Avijit leave Congress to join TMC? Sources close to the Mukherjee family mentioned that current West Bengal pradesh Congress President Adhir Choudhary is responsible for him and others leaving Congress. ``Congress workers are disillusioned. There is no political roadmap. Adhir is running the party like his own fiefdom. He can't even win from his backyard, how will he lead the party in the state ?,'' a senior Congress party functionary said. Sources said Avijit had repeatedly tried to inform senior Congress leaders in Delhi about the sordid state of affairs of the party in Bengal. ``There was nobody to listen to him. He waited for a long time for appointments with the party leadership,'' a close aide of Avijit said.
