Centre cleared 48 projects in wildlife habitat

 Own Correspondent : The National Board for Wildlife , an apex body that takes a call on the use of land from various conservation areas for development activities, had approved the diversion of around 1,792 hectares of wildlife habitat — equivalent in size to 3,349 football fields — for 48 projects , when the pandemic had severely restricted ground visits for taking crucial decisions.
