BY A STAFF REPORTER Former Congress parliamentarian and son of India's ex President, Avijit Mukherjee stepped out of his father's party to join TMC. ANM News was the first to break the news of Avijit's probability of joining the TMC after his meeting with Abhishek Banerjee a few days earlier. Speaking to ANM News, Avijit had then mentioned that he is neither confirming nor denying speculations of joining the TMC. After a series of deliberations, Avijit took up the TMC flag from the hands of senior party leaders at the Trinamool Bhaban. ``I have tendered my resignation to party chief Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi through letter and e-mail,'' Avijit told ANM News.
