Sitrang Cyclone: 12 people died in Bangladesh

 BY A STAFF REPORTER: Cyclone Sitrang has killed at least 12 people in seven districts of Bangladesh. They were killed by cyclone Sitrang from Monday evening to late night when trees were crushed, walls were crushed and boats capsized. 













With the passage of time, the picture of the damage in Bangladesh is becoming clear. It is learned that the cyclone 'Sitrang' crossed the Coast of Bangladesh on Monday evening with heavy rains and tidal surge of a few feet higher than the normal tide. A few hours before this, stormy winds and heavy rains started in the coastal districts. Since Monday evening, there have been reports of road closures in various coastal districts due to falling of trees, breaking electricity poles and tearing them, many areas were plunged into darkness. Of them, three died in Nangalkot of Comilla, three in Bhola, two in Sirajganj and one each in Shariatpur, Barguna, Narail and Dhaka.
