BJP President Bairagi urges N M Andaman district administration to probe Diglipur fire

The BJP has urged the Andaman and Nicobar administration to independently probe the cause of the massive fire which gutted shops and damaged property worth several crores of rupees. Massive fire had broken out at Aerial Bay in Diglipur gutting shops and residences on October 18. Speaking exclusively to ANM News over phone from Diglipur, Andaman and Nicobar Island, BJP president Ajoy Bairagi said he has requested the assistant commissioner to look into the allegation that fire brigade vehicles arrived one hour after the incident was reported. ``Local people had alleged that fire tenders had arrived without water. I have requested the district administration to look into the issue. Fire tenders from the Indian navy doused the flames,'' Bairagi said.
