MHA directed to NIA probe on Mominpur, Ekbalpur clash

BY A STAFF REPORTER: Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has finally directed the National Investigation Agency (NIA) to probe the October 9 clash in Mominpur, West Bengal. The BJP had demanded a probe by the central probe agency fearing a larger conspiracy behind the violence. Mominpur is a minority-dominated area of Kolkata. There was chaos on the night of October 9 and 10. A lot of cars were burned during this time. The clashes escalated after flags were forcibly put up outside some houses and shops.
