BY A STAFF REPORTER: Assembly election is scheduled in Himachal Pradesh. Meanwhile, the BJP's central election committee is likely to meet on October 18 to finalise its candidates for the upcoming Himachal Pradesh Assembly elections.
On Friday, the Election Commission of India announced that the state assembly elections will be held on November 12. The BJP is currently in power in the state. Assembly elections in Himachal Pradesh will be held in one phase. Polling will be held on November 12 and counting of votes will take place on December 8.
