BY A STAFF REPORTER: DY Chandrachud will take oath as the Chief Justice of India on November 9. This is what Union Law Minister Kiren Rijiju said. In accordance with the Constitution, the President appointed the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court. Justice Chandrachud is the 50th Chief Justice of India. Chief Justice of India Uday Umesh Lalit will retire in November. Lalit was sworn in as the Chief Justice of India on August 27 after the retirement of Chief Justice N V Ramana.
