The all-India shooting of the NCC and other military competitions were held in New Delhi on September 15. The contest lasted for a total of 12 days. NCC teams were represented from every state in the country. A 49-member unit of the West Bengal Sikkim Directorate participated there. It was led by Shambhunath Mukherjee, Contingent Commander of the Directorate of West Bengal and Sikkim. Shambhunath's unit was the first in the shooting of rifle. The first prize was handed over by Indian DG NCC Lieutenant General Gur Bir Pal Singh. The NCC team of West Bengal and Sikkim is proud of this. Shambhunath Mukherjee, a resident of Golgram area in Debra block of Paschim Medinipur district, took care of the matter. In 2001, he joined the NCC immediately after teaching. In 2015 and 2016, Shambhunath Mukherjee won the best NCC award in the state. In 2017, he received the Most Meritorious NCC Award. After returning from Delhi, he sat at his home and shared this good news experience.
