What is the significance of Rangali on Diwali?

BY A STAFF REPORTER: Rangoli has a special significance during the Diwali festival. It is made at the entrance of each house in the form of designs and decorations with colors, flowers and molds. The purpose of making Rangoli is not only decoration, but also to welcome Goddess Lakshmi and other guests inside every house. Usually the heavenly symbol moon, stars and other symbols are used in rangli as themes. It is believed that Rangoli's design brings positive energy inside the house.

Apart from these, making rangoli during Diwali also has a role to play in bringing good luck and wealth to the house and the housemates. The painting of various designs and its ingredients are limited to one's own ideas, including colors, miniature themes, leaves, flowers, lamps, the use of lamps, and other materials.
