Kalahandi, 03/10 (N.P.): Maa Manikeswari's temple in Bhawanipatna, Kalahandi district is a unique Shaktipeeth among the ancient Shaktipeeths of Odisha. Mother Manikeswari is the godmother of Kalahandi. The name Manikeswari is come from the word Manikya. Mother's journey to Chhattar is the main event. Devotees come from far and wide to witness her on this day. And I believe that I have fulfill everyone's wishes.In view of the uniqueness of that tradition which has existed in the public life of Kalahandi for many days according to Shakta tradition, an online poetry session was organized on behalf of a leading literary institution,named 'Mo lekha Mo Dunia Sahitya Sansad, Kalahandi', founded by young poet Khushiram Sahu, on the journey of Maa Manikeswari, the ruling goddess of Kalahandi.Chandrakant Biswal,Dr. Bhawani Shankar Nial, Bharati Rath, Yoga Guru Sanatan Mahakud, Ravi Narayan Panda, Rajkishore Mundi, Manmath Swain, Sushanta Rana were present.Participation of poets include Manoj Kumar Shatpathi, Shantilata Rana, Lalat Keshari Balasamant,Arabinda Sahu,Chittaranjan Sahu, Urmila Goud,Vinay Naik, Tarang Chandi, Gaurachandra Gahir, Benudhar Behera, Gitanjali Majhi, Santosh Kumar Panda, Sasmita Behera , Vijay Kumar Swain, Pratap Chandra Mishra,Madhusmita Sahu,Chuleshwar Naik, Anil Kumar, Gobind Behera, Bedabyas Meher, Gyanendriya Dash,Ashok Kumar Naik, Sujata Das, Dayanidhi Nayak, Madhaba Majhi,Bhramar Bag,Suratha Paik who presented their poems with active participation.
