People are also buying gold items in Surat and Rajkot. The picture has already gone viral on social media. Dhanteras festival is celebrated a day before Chhoti Diwali. According to the Hindu calendar, Dhanteras is celebrated on the trayodashi or trayodashi tithi of the Krishna Paksha in the month of Kartik. Dhanvantari Dev, Maa Lakshmi and Kuber Dev are worshiped on this day.
