By Avijit Nandi Majumdar: In a significant development at the international platform, India assumed chairmanship of the security platform of the UIC, the international railway union.
The director general of Railway Protection Force, Sanjay Chander addressed the inaugural session of CIPC Conference on 5th Oct at UIC ( International Rly Union) Hqrs, Paris.
Chander, an expert in security and counter insurgency and terrorism, gave a presentation on crisis management at the international railway union headquarters in Paris.
Delegates from various countries attended the seminar in Paris from October 4 to October 6.
India’s pivotal role at international railway policing comes at a time when the country is waged in a war against terror.
