BY A Staff Reporter: He came, he saw and he won the hearts of Durga Puja organisers. General Officer Commanding in Chief, Eastern Command Lt. Gen RP Kalita visited top five shortlisted puja pandals of Impact Sharad Ananda. Puja organisers were excited and thrilled. From Jayanta of Chorbagan puja committee to Mihir Das of Rajdanga Nabauday Sangha to Manoj Shaw of Mudiali club, everyone were on cloud nine as they took the decorated army general to their pandals and explained the concept. Braving rain and extreme traffic General Kalita crossed crossed from south Kolkata to north Kolkata visiting the pandals and encouraging the puja organisers.
