History of Sreerampore Rajbari's Durga Puja

​ BY A STAFF REPORTER: Do you know the history of Sreerampore Rajbari's Durga Puja? It is said that Antony Firingi used to come to the Goswami house to sing during the Durga Puja, a group of Rupchand birds of Bagbazar from Bhola Moira. In fact, once upon a time, Many well known people used to sit in the Durga Puja of this Serampore Rajbari. 





 Many years ago, this house was used to be visited by Mahatma Gandhi, Chittaranjan Das to Subhas Bose Bidhan Roy. The puja began during the reign of Harinarayan Goswami, grandson of the family's founder Ramgovind Goswami. Later, in imitation of the original settlement, Raghuram started the Durga Puja in the Thakurdalan adjacent to the palace. There is worship here according to Vaishnava. The structure is worshiped on the day of the chariot.
