Top cop Manoj Malviya is heading the Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the New Town encounter where two notorious criminals were killed in an exchange of fire with the cops. Malviya who is currently the Director General of police, Organisation, is probing details of the encounter in which dreaded Punjab gangster and drug smuggling kingpin, Jaipal Singh Bhullar and his accomplice Jaspreet Singh were gunned down in an encounter in a housing complex in New Town. The gangsters had escaped from Punjab and had taken shelter in the New Town complex.
