Government removes Bidhannagar police commissioner

BY A STAFF REPORTER: The state department unceremoniously shifted Bidhannagar police commissioner Supratim Sarkar after facing intense criticism for allegedly mishandling Baguihati twin murder case. ANM News was the first to report that the government was contemplating to shift Sarkar after initial reports indicated that police were lackadaisical in their initial probe. 

Siliguri police commissioner Gaurav Sharma has replaced Sarkar who has been posted as ADG, traffic. The state home department has posted DC, north Kolkata police, Joyeeta Bose as superintendent of police, Bongaon and Tarun Halder will replace her.
