Yesterday Nifty settled above 18000 mark. Day to Day basis fell 66 points to 18003 and formed a strong bullish candle on the daily charts as the closing was higher than opening levels.
Though as expectation opening was sharply lower, 300 points from previous closing but not to stayed there managed to bounce back immediate basis. A smart recovery from the day's low as the session progressed.
Not only recouped the total 300 points loss but also advanced upto previous day's high at 18091 in afternoon trade. After 2:30 pm Selling pressure pushed the index lower & Snapped its’ four-days winning streak but managed to stay above vital 18000 mark & technically above 5DSMA @ 17930 which indicated that not only strong bouncing but also strong closing that may cross 18100 mark & advance more in coming sessions. The trend will remain positive as long as the Nifty remains above 17700-650. Today Weekly expiry so volatility may there.
On the Upside :- Resistances are 18066 – 18091 & 18114 . If crosses & sustains above 18100+ then further fresh break out & then projected hurdles are 18171—18200 & extended basis 18350.
On the Down side :- Any weakness from here could find support around 17930<5dma> area.
If breaks & sustains below that then 17888—17850 & major 17771 to 17730.
Main Range :- 18200 —17650
Option Data also indicated the same. As immediate term, the Nifty may see a trading range of 17700 to 18200 in the coming session.
India VIX rose 4.62% to 18.28 levels.
