One such family is the Ghosh family of Pathuriyaghata in North Kolkata. This year, the puja of this house entered its 165th year. The specialty of this house is the home-made sweets offered to Maa Durga.
Along with the Ghosh family, the Durga Puja of Jorasanko's Dan family is equally steeped in tradition. This house is well maintained as many movies are shot in this house. This year, the puja of this house entered 182 years.
