Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveils granite statue of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose at India Gate

BY A STAFF REPORTER: Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled a grand granite statue of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose at India Gate. The 28-feet high Jet Black Granite statue is placed under the canopy near India Gate. The statue of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose has been installed at the site where the hologram statue of Netaji was unveiled earlier this year. 

The statue of Netaji has been carved out of a block of granite weighing 280 metric tonnes. It took 26,000 hours to build the statue. This granite statue weighs 65 metric tons. The statue has been made entirely by hand using traditional techniques and modern equipment. The team involved in the construction of the statue was led by Arun Yogiraj.
