By a staff reporter : Sometimes it is sunny, sometimes it is getting hot in the state due to rain. A couple of showers in the midst of vapasa weather is adding to the heat. However, in the next few hours, several districts along the Gangetic coast have been put on high alert for thundershowers. The Alipore Meteorological Office has also predicted light to moderate rainfall in Nadia district, thundershowers and rain in Birbhum, Murshidabad districts in the last 3 hours. According to Alipore Meteorological Department, several districts of South Bengal including Kolkata may also receive thundershowers. More rain will increase in North Bengal. Heavy to very heavy rain forecast has been issued at Behar, Alipurduar, Darjeeling, Jalpaiguri, Kalimpong. The water level of the river may rise. Several districts of North Bengal have been reeling under heavy rains for the past few days.
