Has the CID team which went to search the house of Siddhartha Majumdar been detained and prevented from carrying out their duty. According to the official version of the CID, the officers were detained and prevented from conducting lawful searches of the premises. The CID apprehends that this might lead to disappearance of crucial evidence by the suspects. The CID pins the blame entirely on Delhi police claiming that the team has prevented at the direction of DCP, south West from conducting the searches. A court in Panchla in Howrah has issued a search warrant to the CID in the case which involves seizure of huge cash from three MLAs of Jharkhand.
