Strangers asking for a lift on Salunke Vihar Road

Ananya Saha-Two foreigners waiting on the Salunke Vihar road around midnight asked a motorcyclist for a ride.The motorcyclist stopped and agreed to give the strangers a ride. However, after overcoming the distance, the foreigners turned out to be robbers who threatened the young man and then took his bike.

A motorcyclist identified as Aakash Gupta, a resident of Market Yard, Pune, lodged a complaint at the Kondhwa police station. The anti-vehicle theft squad of the crime branch arrested the robbers, identified as Rohit Ramprasad Verma (18), a resident of Wanwadi, and detained his minor accomplice. Four stolen vehicles were recovered from their possession.
