By a staff reporter-Delhi Police has arrested a 30-year-old man, identified as Rizwan Ansari, for cyber stalking. Officials also seized two mobile phones and three SIM cards through which he contacted and threatened the female victim. On 11 May 2022, Amit Kumar filed a complaint through the National Cybercrime Reporting Portal (NCRP). He alleged that Rizwan Ansari pressured his wife to talk and love him and otherwise threatened to kill her. The defendant allegedly called her and spoke abusive language.

A special team was formed to arrest the accused. The team met the complainant and his wife and discussed the incident in detail. The accused was found to have sent the woman a Facebook friend request and texted with her. After some time, he became very adamant and aggressive and even started pressuring her to meet him and love him. The team deployed undercover informants and
worked on technical surveillance. They analysed all the details of IP addresses and identified the hideout of accused Rizwan Ansari with the help of technical surveillance. After finding him, they set a trap and successfully arrested him. During interrogation, the accused revealed that in 2018, while surfing the internet and using his Facebook account, he saw the victim's profile and sent her a friend request. She accepted his request and they started talking. One day he asked her address and secretly clicked the pictures of the lady. He stalked the lady and when she refused to talk to him, he threatened to share her photos and their chats with his relatives and her friends on Facebook. He used three different phone numbers and two mobile phones to contact and threaten her. After the
arrest of Rizwan Ansari, the police also recovered the mobile phone and all the three SIM cards.
