Tamil Nadu: 10 injured in violent clashes at Madurai  temple

A violent clash broke out between two groups in Madurai's Usulampatti after an argument ensued over which group would be blessed first in a temple ceremony. 



The incident took place at the Valandur Angala Parameshwari Temple where a special Pooja was organized on the 48th day after the temple was consecrated. The two groups, who belong to the same community, reportedly had previous enmity and started fighting over who would be honored first. Arguments soon escalated into violent clashes. More than 10 people, including policemen,
were injured during the clash. More than 100 police officers have been deployed and the Superintendent of Police is currently analyzing the situation.
