In a sensational revelation, sources close to the investigating team of the Enforcement Directorate indicated that from the documents collected it seemed that disgraced TMC minister Partha Chatterjee had amassed wealth through several other means over a period of time.
A senior ED official connected with the investigations said documents indicated that money was exchanged for favouring college affiliations, permissions to colleges for initiating various courses, transfers and postings of professors and teachers and appointments in various government run institutions.
``We are verifying the documents to find out the truth,'' the officer said. ED officials said investigations are still on and it will take some time to scrutinise and cross check all information.
