ED, IT, hot on Partho money and property trail

The Rs 20 crore haul from the house of a close aide of former education minister and now commerce and industry minister in the Mamata government Partho Chatterjee was just a tip of iceberg, according to sources at the Enforcement Directorate. The investigating officials claimed to have found incriminating documents, details of transactions, which indicate investments in properties by the arrested TMC minister. 

``We are also probing allegations of benami investments,'' the official said. Sources said the Income tax department has also been notified about the raids and urged to investigate the money trail.
