YOUTH ARRESTED OVER DRUG CONNECTION

By a Staff Reporter: 2 youth arrested with huge amount of drugs. According to the police, the amount of recovered drugs is about 1 kilogram. STF raided Manikpur area of Engrezbazar police station in Malda after receiving information from secret sources. At that time, about 1 kg of brown sugar was recovered.According to the police, the estimated market value of that drug is 50 lakh rupees. They were probably being brought from the border areas of Kaliachak. The purpose of smuggling was somewhere outside Maldah. But before that, STF of the state police got the information from a secret source. Two people were arrested on suspicion of drug trafficking. One of them lives in Batharpur of Kaliachak Police Station, while the other lives in Kadigram of English Bazar. Police have not released the names of the two yet. However, both of the arrested are in their thirties. Today, Friday, the duo will be produced before the Malda District Court. The police are investigating whether anyone else is involved with the entire gang.
