By a Staff Reporter: Sri Lanka is experiencing a catastrophic scarcity of fuel and other basic commodities, as well as its​worst economic crisis in decades, with surging inflation. Due to an oil supply deficit, schools and government offices have been forced to close till further notice.

Due to the country's political upheaval, basics are in limited supply in Sri Lanka. Long lines at gas stations are becoming more prevalent around the island country. Sri Lankan cricketer Chamika Karunaratne, like any other Sri Lankan citizen, is affected by the country's problems.


The Sri Lankan batsman revealed how he managed to fill his automobile after standing in line for two days, according to news agency ANI. "As the club cricket season begins, we must travel to Colombo and other locations for sessions, but I've been stuck in traffic for the past two days. I had it filled for 10,000, which will last for around 2-3 days "explained the pacer.
