'From a distance, it appears simple. Show me any of his 100 shots where he uses that shot.'

By a Staff Reporter:  Following the second ODI of the series against England, the former India player delivered a nononsense assessment of Virat Kohli's problems in the middle.

The hosts levelled the series with a thumping 100-run defeat in the second ODI of the three-match series versus India at Lord's. While the Indian team's batting performance was disappointing, Virat Kohli's form has been a major source of concern for the squad. Since his international return following the 2022 Indian Premier League, the Indian hitter has failed to score more than 20 runs in
any competition.

Kohli struggled to make an impression in his comeback to Lord's after missing the first ODI due to a groyne ailment. He was bowled on 16 off 25 balls by David Willey. Kohli was on the front foot, nicking a length delivery outside-off for an easy catch by Jos Buttler.
Kohli's unsatisfactory middleorder performances have drew significant notice, and many have encouraged the former India
skipper to make specific batting adjustments, such as playing on the backfoot. Former India batter Ajay Jadeja, on the other hand, disagrees. During a post-match interview on Sony SIX, Jadeja stated that Kohli has hit all of his century using the same strategy, implying that the issue is not with his batting style but with his attitude.
