In an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Rao opens up about his struggling days he recalls being continually chastised for his appearance and wondered why no one was judging his acting abilities.

When asked to reveal some silly reasons he was given for getting rejected for films, Rajkummar told Bollywood Bubble, "I was told so many things."
