BENGALURU: HOUSEKEEPERS ARRESTED

BY A STAFF REPORTER: On Monday, Bangalore police arrested three domestic workers who stole valuables from their households and advertised their services on Facebook. The three defendants were identified as Mumbai residents Priyanka Rajesh Mogre (29 years old), Mahadevi (26 years old) and Vanitha (37 years old). Police also confiscated 250 grams of gold and 100 grams of silver from the accused.

The trio has created a fake Facebook page titled "ReferHouseMaids". As soon as the domestic workers were contacted and supported, one of the three women began doing household chores and later fled with valuables. One of the defendants, Mahadebi, presented a fake Adhercard and began working at her parents' home on May 5. Just the next day, after the family went to work, Mahadebi and her companions stole valuables from the house. Further investigation is underway.
